Using this query, I wanted to see the trend for the use of the word "Prisoners" in Australian newspapers. As we can see, there is a huge spike in the early 1800 century when the first settlers arrived as prisoners here from England. Later on, the use of prisoners went down as these people became regular Australian citizens with time. The use of the work immigrants spiked immediately after the prisoners. This shows a trend that when they stopped using the word "prisoners", it was replaced by immigrants.
